Catherine Lois Jensen

On August 12, 2025, Catherine "Cass" Lois Jensen (née Knoche), 91, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, leaving behind a life defined by grace, joy, and devotion to others.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Cass was the beloved daughter of the late Louis William Knoche and Irene Marie Knoche (née Ballboh). A lifelong resident of the Baltimore area, she found beauty in every season along the Chesapeake Bay. She had a deep love for the ocean and warm summer days spent near the water. In her younger years, she could often be found water skiing, swimming, and collecting shells along the Florida beaches. She approached life with the same vibrancy she brought to the water-energetic, fearless, and full of fun.

Beloved wife of 72 years to William Nelson Jensen, Cass was a devoted mother to three sons-Bill (Eileen), David (Karen), and Gary-and a proud grandmother to Shawn, Benjamin, Melissa, and Brooke. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her eight great-grandchildren, whose energy, curiosity, and laughter lit up her world. Cass is also survived by her brother, William Knoche, DDS, and was predeceased by her sister, Ruth Brinster.

Known for her style and gracious spirit, Cass was a natural at bringing people together. Whether hosting Women's Teas at Trinity Lutheran Church, organizing crab feasts, or arranging flowers with friends at Mercy Ridge Senior Living, she created spaces where everyone felt welcome and cherished. She loved marking life's milestones-birthdays, anniversaries, or simple Saturday mornings-with warmth, laughter, and her signature touch of elegance.

Cass's life was one of connection-rooted in family, enriched by friendships, and shaped by her unwavering energy. She will be remembered for her strength, enthusiasm, and her ability to make any gathering feel special. Her legacy will live on in the family she loved so deeply, the friends she held close, and the countless moments she helped turn into treasured memories.

Family and friends are invited to honor Cass's remarkable life at Ruck-Towson Funeral Home, 1050 York Road (at Beltway Exit 26) on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 4–6 PM. A funeral service will be held at Stella Maris Chapel, 2300 Dulaney Valley Road, Timonium, Maryland, on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 10 AM, followed by interment at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 2150 Mt. View Road, Marriottsville, Maryland 21104.
