Catherine Kuchinsky Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lambie Funeral Home - Philadelphia on Aug. 25, 2022.
Catherine Helen Kuchinsky (nee Trumpfheller) age 93 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 24, 2022. Preceded in death by her husband Richard, they were married for more than 65 years. They met at a dance at the old Trevose schoolhouse. Richard was in the Navy and to hear Catherine tell, on a John Paul Jones dance, he wouldn t let her hand go. The rest is history! She will be sadly missed by her loving daughter Ruth Smith, son-in-law Karl Smith, and her grandchildren Noah and Catie, who were the center of her life. Catherine was born the daughter of Richard and Ruth (nee Murphy) Trumpfheller in Bridesburg, PA. She went to Brown Elementary School and graduated from Frankford High School. After graduation, Catherine proceeded to attend secretarial school and seamstress school to learn tailoring. She was a receptionist at Kingsbury, Inc. for 23 years and retired in 1993. Catherine served with her husband Richard in the 2 and 3 year old class at Holmesburg Baptist Church. She also served as a deaconess and on the board of missions at church. Catherine received recognition for more than 75 years of continuous service to God by Pastor Reverend Edward Johnson in 2014. Relatives and friends are invited to greet her family Friday evening, September 2, 2022, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Lambie Funeral Home 8000 Rowland Avenue (At Rhawn Street) and Saturday, 9:30 am to 10:00 am at Holmesburg Baptist Church. Her service will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022, 10:00 am at Holmesburg Baptist Church, 7927 Frankford Avenue. Interment will follow Saturday at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Holmesburg Baptist Church, 7927 Frankford Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19136 would be appreciated.
