Cathleen Buehring Obituary

Cathy earned her Master's Degree in Education from Dominican University and taught elementary school for more than 20 years. Despite significant physical challenges throughout her life, Cathy always presented a bright smile and a sunny disposition. She enjoyed comedians and was a Golden Girls super fan. Cathy was a caring person who loved everyone. Her family was the most important part of her life and she especially enjoyed spending time with her niece and nephews.
Visitation Wednesday, May 10th, 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 S. Grant St., Hinsdale. Friends and family will meet Thursday, May 11th at St. Mary Parish / St. Paul VI, 105 Herrick Rd., Riverside for visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery in Justice to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriner Children's Chicago, 2211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60707.

Cathy, when I think of you the first thing that comes to my mind is that laugh! So glad Cathy and I spent almost three hours on the phone last time we spoke. Golden Girls rule ("Dorothy on the streets, Blanche between the sheets")!! You will be missed, friend, but you're still with me in so many ways. Love, Sophia
