Dorothy retired from Memorial Medical Center where she served as the Dietitian. During her time there, her meals brought joy to the staff and patients. Dorothy was well known for making delicious meals not only at home but at the hospital as well. Lines formed into the hallway daily to get her lunch specials. After retirement from the hospital, she continued serving as a volunteer in the gift shop, a time which she greatly enjoyed. Outside of the hospital she loved gardening, and her weekly trips to Walmart. She loved her animals, and most of all she loved being "Nana". Dorothy loved her family unconditionally and will be truly missed.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Dorothy's name to Memorial Medical Center attention Volunteer Organization at P.O. Box 25, Port Lavaca, Texas 77979.
