SOUTH COLTON - Funeral services for Cathryn Marie Reed, 61, a resident of 3368 St. Highway 56, South Colton, will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Potsdam, NY. Cathy passed away on September 26, 2025, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester with her family at her side. Cathy is survived by her husband, Randy Reed, South Colton; her seven beloved children, Emily and Matthew Regan, South Colton; Heather and Ryan Flohr, Akron, OH; Matthew Klemko, Canton; Alyssa and Daniel Bradish, Colton; Jessica and Jerry Kulhanek, Colton; Ashley Klemko and Kristen Klemko, both of Melbourne, FL; twelve grandchildren; her father, Thomas S. Tucker, South Colton; a brother, Peter Tucker, Parishville; her sisters Amy and Jeff Clemo, Colton; Karen Hamilton, Colton and Niki and Jamie Rutledge, Colton as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Cathy was predeceased by her mother Elizabeth "Betty", a sister Tamie Wickwire and brother-in-law Donald Hamilton and sister-in-law Melissa Tucker.

Born in Potsdam, NY on October 1,1963, to Thomas S. and Elizabeth A. "Betty" Tucker, Cathy graduated from Colton-Pierrepont Central School, Class of 1981. Cathy was an accomplished cook, working at the Red Pine Cone in South Colton and previously worked at Foxy Roxy's in Potsdam. Cathy was known for many things, but at the heart of it all was her love of music. She had an extraordinary voice and could be heard singing day and night, no matter what the task was at hand.

Cathy often said she wanted to "have enough kids to fill a softball team," and she came close. Her legacy continues through her children: Emily, who shares her mother's unique ability for self-reflection to persevere; Heather, who aspires to be "the leader of the band" just like her mom; Matthew, who inherited her deep love and desire for understanding; Alyssa, who carries her mother's fierce determination and giving heart; Jessica, who, like her mother - is a peacemaker among siblings; Ashley, whose love of children and instinct to nurture reflect her mom's own; and Kristen, her youngest, who embodies Cathy's resilience through life's challenges.

Her flame will also live on through her beloved grandchildren and the many nieces and nephews she loved as her own. Though she no longer walks beside us, Cathy's spirit remains, in all the best pieces of those she held dear. Her love for Christ, her laughter, and her song will continue to echo in the hearts of her family forever.
