Cathy J. Bahlow, 61, of Tomahawk, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.
Cathy was born March 8, 1964, in Stambough, Michigan, daughter of Clarence J. and Beverly A. (Corrigan) Tipler. She married Charles ‘Charlie’ Bahlow on November 1, 1997. He survives. Cathy worked in fast food management as a team leader. She had worked at various local restaurants including Taco Bell and Hardee’s in Merrill, McDonald’s in Tomahawk, and Culver’s and Burger King in Rhinelander. She had also worked as a nursing assistant at a local nursing home.
She was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Tomahawk where she was active in the church’s Ladies Aid/LWML and quilting group, she made busy bags for the youngsters, and she ushered with her husband. Cathy was involved in the Lions Club; she was the past president of the former Northwoods Lions Club and Secretary of the Crandon Lions Club. Cathy also enjoyed socializing with friends, crocheting, fishing with her husband.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie Bahlow of Tomahawk; sister, Mari Tipler of Rhinelander; brothers, Clayton (Roxanna) Tipler of Davenport, Florida and Jeff (Michelle) Tipler of Casco, Wisconsin; niece, Jayme (Ryan) Matsen of De Pere; and great nephew, Eric Matsen of De Pere. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Beverly Tipler; step-son, Zachary A. Bahlow; and brother, Thomas Tipler.
The funeral service for Cathy will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Tomahawk. Rev. Stephen P. Gillet will preside. Burial will take place in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Town of Corning. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 A.M., Tuesday at the church.
