Cathy Dixon Huss

Cathy Diane Dixon Huss, 65, passed away on Wednesday, September 08, 2021 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte. She was born in Gastonia on October 19, 1955 and is the daughter of the late Charles and Betty Mauney Dixon. Cathy was a graduate of Ashley High School and attended Gaston College. She retired as a Senior Property Manager. She was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother. She loved to spoil her grandchildren and loved them dearly, she loved her dog, "Daisy" and On Line Shopping. Cathy leaves to cherish her memories, her two loving daughters, Somer Lawrence and husband Mike, Kelli Huss and husband Joe Touvell; her loving son, Michael Owens; her three grandchildren, Hunter Bell, Bryson Lawrence, Georgia Touvell; one brother, Randy Barnes. The family will receive family and friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Memorial Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 in the Chapel of Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Criswell officiating. Inurnment will be private and at a later date. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Larry "Pete" Brooks and Ricky Dixon. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be made to: Tri-County Animal Rescue, 3326 Al Hager Lane, Iron Station, North Carolina 28080.
