Cathy A. Kaeser, 69
Cathy A. Kaeser, 69 of Ashland passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023 in the Ohio State University Wexner Center.
She was born on July 26, 1954 in Ashland, the daughter of the late Ronald Gene and Phylis I. (nee Keener) Griggs.
Cathy attended Mapleton High School. She retired from Archway after more than 27 years in 1999.
She married Dr. Donald R. Kaeser on April 19, 2002.
Throughout her life, Cathy was affectionately known as a crazy cat lady. She loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas. Cathy had a goal to visit every T.j. Maxx in the state of Ohio with her friend Linda and they were so close to achieving that goal. On her drives, she loved listening to all kinds of music and singing. She had an amazing voice but was shy for anyone else to hear.
Cathy is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Dr. Donald Kaeser of Ashland; four children, Rhonda (Ryan) Offhaus of Perrysville, Regina Sklenicka of Ashland, Lisa Burgess of Columbus, and Zane (Sara) Bowen of Ashland; six step children, Kimberly (Mike) Reidenbach of Loudonville, Karrie Calzo of Ashland, Kristine Lafever of Ashland, Amy (Steve) Steward of Ashland, Kevin (Katie) Kaeser of Ashland, and Viriginia Kaeser of Ashland; nine grandchildren, Caitlyn McCoy, Trevor McCoy, Shayla Ochier, Shane Sklenicka, Charlie Burgess, Jarod Burgess, Catherine Burgess, and Zaiden and Harper Bowen; one great grandchild, Crue Cline; her special friend, Linda (Ronnie) Cook of West Salem; her canine companion, Vinny; and her Friday Night Group.
In addition to her parents, Cathy is preceded in death by her canine companion, Killer.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Nankin Cemetery. A meal and time of fellowship will follow in the Legacy Room of the Funeral Home. Friends may call Friday, October 6, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
