Cathy Lynn Olson was a beautiful soul born on August 2, 1957. Born and raised in Columbus, Indiana Cathy was the apple of her mother Marie Garrison and father Jackie Garrison's eyes. Cathy struggled with addiction for many years, but overcame and passed with many years of sobriety. She was a light in the lives of many.
She had two children, Jessica Lynn Olson and Nathaniel Steven Garrison; five grandchildren, Anaya Warren, Myles Matherly, Kendall Garrison, Samantha Garrison, and Jackson Garrison; and one great-grandchild, Ivory Mae, all of Columbus, Indiana.
Cathy enjoyed quality time the most with her family. The simple things in life meant the most to her. Cathy's love for God was a special memory to be mentioned. She never failed to remind all of those that were close to her how God saved her from herself while thanking him for the grace and mercy shown daily; not just in her life, but in her beautiful family as well.
We can all rest assured knowing Cathy's soul in in Heaven, free and smiling down upon us all. She would want us all to remember the good times and her beautiful smile that lit up any room. She would want us not to forget that this life is temporary and we shall meet again.
"Those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint" -Isaiah 40:31
