I still think of Kathy often,,, usually with a smile or a chuckle about a remembered story and know that holidays are always a little sadder without her. Again, my love and sympathy are with all of you. Love

To all of you...my deepest sympathy on your loss of Cathy. She and I became friends while at UCONN and afterI I graduated and got married I moved to Mass. We never really lost contact and over the years we might get together with our dear mutual friend Eileen Dubois. We had so much fun always and loved each other dearly. MY regret is that I had hadn't spoken enough with her recently and didn't realize that she was so ill. My husband is not well and then I fell out of my own bed and broke my humerous bone(Shoulder) and had a bad tear in my rotator cuff. This happened in early June and i spent the summer in hospital and rehab and then a long hot summer at home.....with neither of us driving. i was kind of in a funk and never wanted to call Cathy unless I was feeling chipper so I could make her feel chipper and make her laugh.....she actually would have loved my story and we always laughed with each other on our phone calls. My heart was broken when I heard from Eileen that she had passed and I hadn't spoken to her in so long and to tell her how much I loved her. I'm sure that she knew that and I think that you, her family, know that as well. She was so proud of her family and grandchildren and brothers and sister....Louise and Rhoda and Ellie. I just saw the time and have to go to my PHYsical Therapy appt....I'm almost there but still have to get stronger in my arm. Cathy was always so special and wise and fun to be with and I'm hoping that all the good and happy memories will help you at this sad time. As sad as I feel right now, I've laughed out loud remembering too many funny stories to write about right now. With love to all of you..... and Dave her helpmate, our deepest sympathy.....

Dave, I don´t know if you will see this, but please accept my most heartfelt condolences. It was always nice to see Cathy sitting beside you during the Division meetings on Zoom. My thoughts are with you and your family. Kim Filion, USCG Aux
