Cathy Whicker Obituary
Bristol, VA - Cathy Lynn Bowers Whicker, age 66, passed on Sunday, December 24, 2023, with her daughters by her side in Bristol Regional Medical Center. Cathy was a 1975 Graduate of John Battle High School and a member of Maple Grove Presbyterian Church. She loved cooking, sewing, and decorating. Cathy was the owner of Whicker Windows Interior Decorating.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Mary Sue Tuell Bowers, husband, Danny Whicker, and grandson, Dalton Amos.
Cathy is survived by her daughters, Danielle McCrady and husband Kris, and Ashley Dales and husband Jamie; stepdaughters, Brandy Wilson and husband Troy, and Candy Hendry and husband Jeff; six grandchildren, Kate Whicker, Kendra Brent, Laken Toncray, Elliott Amos, Brennan Dales, and Cameron Dales.
Visitation with the family will be held 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Stephen Talbert officiating. It was Mrs. Whicker’s wish to be cremated after the service.
