Catinca Baciu

Catinca Baciu, 84, of Bethlehem Township, formerly of Wilson Borough, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023, in St. Luke's Hospice House.
Born March 18, 1938, in Romania, she was a daughter of the late Dumitru and Anuta Ungureanu.
Her husband, Vasile Baciu, passed away April 22, 1992.
Catinca enjoyed gardening and growing her own plants with seeds she harvested.
She was a member of St. Joseph of Maramures Romanian Orthodox Church, Hazleton where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of Life Giving Fountain Romanian Orthodox Church, Long Valley, NJ.
Surviving are three sons, Vasile Baciu, of Romania, Constantin Baciu and his wife Cristina, of West Easton and Gheorghe Baciu and his wife Maria, of Romania; a daughter, Zina M. Dart and her fiancé Gabriel Neagu, of Bethlehem Township; a sister, Maria Timofte, of Romania; eleven grandchildren, Lavinia, Andrei, Yolanda, Ingrid, Larisa, Vasile, Ciprian, Roxana, Andrea, Isabela and Gabriel; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by many brothers and sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Saturday in Life Giving Fountain Romanian Orthodox Church, 132 Califon Road, Long Valley, NJ 07853. Call Saturday 9-10am in the church. Burial will follow Mass with an approximate arrival time of 12:15pm in Gethsemane Cemetery 3401 William Penn Hwy, Easton, PA 18045. Arrangements are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough.
