Cecil Wayne Compelube, 66, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025. He was born on March 21, 1959, in McAlester, Oklahoma, to Jimmy Ray and Mary Bargas Compelube.
Cecil was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and loyal friend. A lifelong fan of Oklahoma Sooners football and softball, Cecil rarely missed a game and was always ready to cheer on his team with enthusiasm. But his greatest joys came from the time spent with his beloved granddaughters, Faith and Aaliyah. Whether it was sharing stories, laughter, or quiet moments, he cherished every memory made with them.
Cecil also had a soft spot for his furry companions and found great comfort in the company of his lap dogs, especially Jazz and Boomer, who were never far from his side.
On October 3, 1980, Cecil married the love of his life, Cindy Plunkett of Muskogee. Together, they shared 45 years of unwavering love and partnership. He is survived by Cindy; their sons, Justin Compelube and his caring girlfriend, Sara Renee, and Cody Compelube; granddaughters, Faith Compelube and Aaliyah Compelube; and his beloved sister, Christina Marcel Compelube.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Cynthia "Sissy" Compelube; brother, Johnny Ed Compelube; grandparents, Ruby and Cecil Compelube; in-laws, Glen and Betty Plunkett; and uncles, Ed Bargas and John Bargas.
