Nona Marie Taylor, 78, passed away on October 25, 2025, in Gore, Oklahoma. She was born on July 14, 1947, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Charles Moore and Daisy Moore (Barnett).
Nona cherished her family above all else and enjoyed spending time with them, creating memories they will hold dear forever. She loved to cook, and her meals were famous among family and friends-made with love and enjoyed by all. She adored her pets and shared a special bond with each of them. Nona was a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs and Oklahoma Sooners football fan, cheering on her favorite teams with enthusiasm. She was also devoted to her church and treasured the fellowship of her Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her sons, Sam Taylor and Charlie Taylor and wife April; grandchildren, Chelsea Taylor, Amanda Blankenship, and Rhiannon Blankenship; great-grandchildren, Luci Blankenship, Lilli Farlow, Emma Blankenship, and Scarlett Selby; brothers, Chuck Moore and Ellis Moore and wife Pam; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Debbie Swearengin, Robbie Taylor and wife Flo, and Mary Ventris and husband Steve; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends who loved her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Matthew Taylor, and her spouse, Darrel Taylor.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Agent-Millsap Event Center in Gore, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 12:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma, with Pastor Tim Harper and Rick Shelby officiating. Burial will follow at Vaught Cemetery in Webbers Falls. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Nona, please visit our floral store.
