Cecil Warren III, born on May 27, 1947, left this world on August 13, 2025, leaving behind cherished memories and a lasting legacy. He was a devoted brother, a loving step-parent, and a beloved uncle who touched the lives of those who knew him.
Cecil is survived by his sister, Sandra Brackman; step-daughter, Trisha Portell; step-son, Bobby Greber; as well as three nieces, Dawn (Stas) Pietrucha, Rhonda Roeper, and Sara (Greg) Beville-Luebrecht. He is also remembered fondly by a host of other family members and friends who had the pleasure of sharing in his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Warren, Jr.; mother, Patsy R. Burke; and nephew, Jason Beville. The loss of these family members weighs heavily on those who remain, yet their memories bring comfort and solace.
Cecil had a vibrant spirit that flourished in his hobbies. He found joy in playing golf, where he often enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow golfers. Additionally, fishing brought him peace and tranquility, allowing him to connect with nature and reflect on life.
Cecil was a life member of VFW Post 5077 and AMVETS 106.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm, at VFW Post 5077, 8500 Veterans Memorial Pkwy, O'Fallon, MO 63366.
As we remember Cecil Warren III, we celebrate a man who lived with passion and purpose, who fostered meaningful relationships, and whose zest for life inspired those around him. He will be deeply missed, but his impact will resonate in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
