Cecilia Mae Greer

Cecilia Mae Greer, "Grandma Greer", 83, of Bradenton, FL, passed away on April 4, 2024, at her home with family at her side. Cecilia was born on March 16, 1941, to Jack and Grace McComb in Inverness, FL, where Cecilia spent most of her childhood.
After graduating high school, Cecilia went on to raise a family of her own and attend nursing school. She was in the first round of nurses hired to work at Blake Medical Center where she cared for others with the same love and devotion that she gave to her family.
Cecilia is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Weldon and brother, Butch McComb. Cecilia leaves behind four children, Melanie Owens, Michele Plunkett, Deborah Greer and John Greer, Jr.; fourteen grandchildren, Eric, Matthew, Daniel, Jamie, Faith, Brittney, Taylor, Chelsey, Aaron, Justin, Cearra, Olivia, Jessica and Colton; fourteen great-grandchildren, Marco, Brooklyn, Denise, Matthew, III, Hunter, Parker, Emma, Brittany, Lacy, Raelynn, Lily, Mya, Jackson and Weston; six great-great-grandchildren, Alex, Athena, Camila, Avery, Ronin and Collins as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Not a day went by where she did not talk about her love for her family. Her family was her greatest achievement and everyone around her knew it. Cecilia had a strong love for Diet Cokes, traveling, Jesus and chicken harvest days. Although her family will miss her dearly, they know the imprint Cecilia left on their hearts will carry them through a lifetime.
