Psalm 116:15 "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints."
Dr. Chandra Pauline Daniel, 50, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 15, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Reuben Daniel.
Born in Benghazi, Libya, on March 18, 1974, Chandra Pauline was the daughter of W.B. Dinakar Paul and Pamela Dinakar.
Chandra, Ph.D., Dr.P.H., served as a representative of the United Nations Association-USA and as one of the Global Goals Ambassadors for the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Recently, she completed a doctoral program in Public Health at New York Medical College. She was a research team member of the Public-Private Analytic Exchange Program (AEP), which is jointly organized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the Office of Intelligence and Analysis, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). She had a passion for helping children with HIV in third-world countries and rehabilitating substance abusers. Her work was featured extensively in the media and incorporated by the World Health Organization (WHO). Most importantly, Chandra devoted her life to Christ and dedicated it to serving others. Tulip New Life Trust, a home she founded for those with HIV/AIDS, transformed many lives both physically and spiritually.
Chandra is lovingly remembered by her husband, Reuben Daniel; her parents, W.B. Dinakar Paul and Pamela Dinakar; her children, Hannah Chrislyn Daniel, Jayden Daniel, and Ethan Daniel; her brothers, David Pravin Dinakar, Pradeep Rajvin Dinakar, and Praisewin Ezekiel Dinakar; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, G.B. Daniel and Nirmala Daniel; and her nieces, nephews, and several relatives.
Chandra was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, S.D. Paul and Damayanthi Paul; and her maternal grandparents, K.R.R. Pandian and Chandra Pandian.

I recently learned of the passing of Dr. Chandra, whom I had the pleasure of meeting earlier this year at the United Nations headquarters during a summit. We had a productive and enjoyable conversation, during which we exchanged ideas and discussed various opportunities for career advancement.

My condolences go out to the family. Dr. Chandra was a kind and generous individual who was always willing to share her knowledge and insights. I am deeply saddened by her passing and will miss our meaningful conversations. My condolences to her family and friends.
