Charles Appleton Obituary

Charles was a graduate of Central High School. Enlisted in the United States Navy in 1966. Retired Seaman Apprentice. Received several awards and was Honorably discharged. Upon returning home Charles was employed at Philip Morris and retired after several years of outstanding service. Charles was an avid reader and sports fan. He enjoyed watching the Louisville Cardinals play sports. He also enjoyed shooting pool and boxing.
Charles loved his family and friends. He had a special Love for his grand and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sister Florence Nelson and brothers William and Paul Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Christa Jones; son, Christopher Jones; granddaughter, DeAndrea Montgomery; great-grandchildren, Austyn, Aaden, and Ashton; sister, Othella Appleton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Sadly, missed along life's way, Quietly remembered every day, No longer in our life to share, But in our hearts, he is always there.
