Charles D. Baumann

Charles D. Baumann, Sr. Beloved husband of the late Maxine Baumann for 68 years. Passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at age 98. Born January 21, 1925 to Fred H and Sara Baumann. He was a 1943 Hughes HS graduate and then entered the Army Air Force and was a Staff Sergeant. He was trained as an Aerial Photographer on the B24 Liberator. He was proud to serve his country. After his service, he entered a career and became a Master Plumber. He was a member of Plumber Pipe Fitters of Cincinnati and received his 65 year participation award. On September 18, 1948, he married Maxine DeBord and continued to reside in West Chester after their marriage. Charles was a loving father of 7 children -- Dale (Jann) Baumann, Dianne Croswait, Sam (Marilyn) Baumann, Doug (Brenda) Baumann, Melanie (Gregg) Fritz, Gayle (Myer) Young, and Janet (Dave) Huffman. He was also a cherished grandfather to 16 grand children, numerous loving great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Franklin Bible Methodist Church, 6000 Dixie Hwy, Franklin, OH 45005, on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 10 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11 AM. Pastor Brian Wardlaw will be officiating. Burial will follow at West Chester Twp. Cemetery.
