Charles Wayne "Chuck" Blair passed on Monday, November 3rd, 2025, after a brief illness at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Delaware. He was 82 years old.
Charles was born February 9th, 1943, in Sharon, PA, to Archie B. and Nina Marie Cloff Blair. Charles was an Army Vietnam Veteran and previously employed by Leeds Travelwear and EastWind Industries both in Clayton, Delaware and Harris Manufacturing in Smyrna, DE, until retirement.
In 1988, he married Doris Marie Nickerson. Together, they enjoyed many camping vacations and many holiday gatherings spent with family. He also had many fond and happy memories with his 12 siblings whom he loved.
Charles was predeceased in death by his parents, Archie and Nina M. Blair; his "Mother" whom he loved dearly, Marie Blair; his siblings, Janet Blair, Rosemary Blair, Sam Blair, Frank Blair, Bob Blair, William "Bill" Blair, Deanie Buxton, Joan Buxton, and Danny Blair; his wife of 33 years, Doris Marie Blair, and his stepdaughters, Rhonda Nickerson Johnson and Janice Lynn Nickerson.
Charles is survived by a stepson, Edward G. "Brother" Nickerson Jr and his wife Donna of Hartly, DE, a stepdaughter, Karen Ann Cote' and her husband Michael of Dover, DE. His grandchildren, Amber Augustus (John), Candace Kelly (Joe), Henry William "Billy" Austin, Courtney Hacker (Jeremy) Joseph "Joey" Johnson (Stephanie) Edward G. "Eddie" Nickerson (Carlina) Brittany M. Cote' and Ryan Nickereson; 16 great grandchildren; his siblings Doris Cary, Wayne Sapp (Carol) and Jean "Diane" Aiker; his wonderful neighbors; the Briggs, the Martins, and the Kent family. His dear friends, Ron and Shirley Crosley and his favorite pet, Tubee.
A graveside service will be Monday, November 10th, 2025, at 2:30pm at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden, DE.
