Francine Tocchetti

Francine Minichiello Tocchetti of Dover passed away, Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was 79.
Fran was born May 31, 1946, in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late Frank A. Minichiello and Marie Gosselin Minichiello.
She worked as a nurse for Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs, CT from 1974-1980, when she relocated to Germany with her husband and children for his work. While in Europe she worked in the school systems. Upon returning to the United States she returned to nursing as a Home Care Visiting nurse. Fran enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow up. She loved spending time in her flower gardens.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Michael "Mike" Tocchetti.
She is survived by her daughters, Audrey Gaillard of Dover, Alison Bergeron of Stafford Springs, CT, and her son Michael Tocchetti and his partner Cynthia Marvin of Little Creek; her sisters Kathleen Turgeon and her husband Robert of Windsor Locks, CT, Nancy Greenstreet and her husband Robert of Yulee, FL and Elaine Hoffman and her husband Robert of Yulee, FL; six grandchildren, Emily Vlachoannis, Tyler and Brooke Gaillard, Rachel Bergeron, Greg and Cory Tocchetti, and 4 great grandchildren, Liliah and Joya, Niko and Helena. A special thank you to Cynthia Marvin, who assisted in providing outstanding care and compassion to our mother for the past several months.
The family is planning a private graveside service at Lakeside Cemetery in Dover on November 7, 2025.
