Charles Evans Burden, age 79, of Mineral Bluff, GA, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at his home. Charles was born August 23, 1945, in Hogansville, GA to Claude and Sara Burden. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and he worked for the Georgia Department of Corrections for 34 years until retiring.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Claude Shaffer Burden; mother, Sara Burden; and brother, Claude Shaffer Burden III.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Burden; daughter, Jennifer Ashley (Joseph) Testino; son, William E. (Laura) Rogers; daughter, Jodi Burden Holland; sister, Sara Strain; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral is scheduled for Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home Blue Ridge Chapel with Pastor Daniel Postell officiating.
Military Honors Provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, GA at 3:00 pm.
The family will receive friends at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home & Crematory Blue Ridge Chapel on Thursday, 19th of September, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM.
