Charles Richard Canfield Jr., "Chuck," 62, of New Milford, PA, passed away peacefully at home on August 13, 2025. Born July 14, 1963, in Montrose, PA, Chuck was the son of the late Mary and Charles Canfield Sr. He was a distinguished Systems Engineer Senior Staff at Lockheed Martin for over twenty years, where his meticulous attention to detail made him invaluable to colleagues and projects. Chuck is survived by his beloved wife of over 37 years, Linda; daughter, Ashley and son-in-law, Will; son, Sean Canfield (U.S. Navy); treasured granddaughter, Keiley Rae; sisters and brothers-in-law; cousins; friends who became family; and work colleagues who became lifelong friends. Life with Chuck was an adventure through every season. Summers meant family trips to Knoebels and backyard barbecues. Fall brought target practicing and deer hunting with Linda on their land. Winter was made sweeter with his famous homemade fudge. Saturday mornings at Cracker Barrel became a treasured family tradition. Chuck's exceptional attention to detail wasn't just evident at work-it showed in everything he did at home, from planning perfect family adventures to ensuring every tradition was just right. His greatest joy came from sitting on the front porch with coffee and Linda, playing cards, and flying drones with Sean during Navy leave, coloring, playing with cars, and building Lincoln Log forts with Keiley Rae, sharing humorous stories and heartfelt advice with his son-in-law Will on the porch, and daily conversations with Ashley that created an unbreakable bond. Chuck was famous for his love of shopping and lightning-fast Amazon ordering skills-the family always knew that if they mentioned something they needed and saw him shortly after on his phone, an Amazon package would mysteriously arrive within days. He was a devoted James Bond 007 enthusiast (hence his son Sean's name). His appreciation for Bond's attention to detail and precision mirrored his own approach to life and work. Nothing brought Chuck more joy than Linda's homemade Northern Spy apple pie-a recipe that became legendary in their household and a treat he savored with the same enthusiasm he brought to everything else in life. A man of deep faith and quiet strength, Chuck's legacy lives on in every seasonal tradition he created and every moment of love he gave so freely. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, August 20th at 2:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church, New Milford, PA, followed by a luncheon. Chuck has now embarked on his next adventure-one that requires no planning, no Amazon deliveries, just the love he carried with him and the eternal peace he has found. His mission here is complete, but his legacy of love and laughter continues on. Chuck will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His warm smile, generous heart, and unwavering love touched countless lives, and the void left by his passing will be felt by family, friends, and colleagues alike. Though he is gone from our sight, Chuck's spirit lives on in every shared memory, every family tradition, and every act of kindness he inspired in others.

Nancy & I are very sorry for your loss. Fudge was always available in the fall. Chuck's father Charles Sr. & Grandma Lindsey always made it in the fall, chocolate and peanut butter. May you remember all the good times you have had.
