Charles F. Kinkaid, 75, of Galesburg, IL passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, IL. 

Chuck was born February 18, 1949 in Monmouth, IL the son of Richard A. and Marilyn J. (Kinney) Kinkaid. He was raised and educated in Warren County attending a one room school house, Pleasant Green School, then later Little York Grade School and then graduating from Monmouth High School in 1967. 

Chuck served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1967-1969, completing one tour of duty in Vietnam. 

He married Karen Tee, later he married Leah Webb and then married Kim Kinkaid on September 4, 1993 and she passed away on September 23, 2012. 

Chuck worked for Benson Motorsports and Sales. He later worked for Digital Compier Systems in delivery and sales.  

He was a member of the former Fall Creek Methodist Church. 

Chuck enjoyed motorcycles, race cars, the Dallas Cowboys and St. Louis Cardinals. He also for a time was active in Flat Track Racing with his brother, Michael. He also loved to go fishing with his kids. 

Survivors include his children, Brittany (Jimmy) Browning of Norman Park, GA, and Braden Kinkaid of Galesburg; his grandchildren, Matthew and Maycee Browning; his brother, Michael Kinkaid of Monmouth; nieces, Tracey (Cormac) Watters and Bindy (Jay) Raymond; nephew, Brian Kinkaid; several great nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Ralph C. Johnson; wife, Kim Kinkaid and infant brother, Danny Lee. 

A gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00-7:00 pm, Thursday, September 5, 2024 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. The family request that you wear your favorite Racing, Dallas Cowboys or St. Louis Cardinals attire for the gathering. Cremation has been accorded. Memorials may be given to the Charles Kinkaid Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home to offset his final expense or direct donation may be made at https://www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com/resources/make-a-payment.
