Charles F. (Chuck) Freese, 96, of Neshannock Twp. passed away the morning of June 18, 2025 at The Grove in New Wilmington.
Chuck was born in New Castle on July 14, 1928 to the late Frederick and Katherine (Fehl) Freese.
Chuck proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army.
Chuck married his beloved wife, the former Anna M. DeAugustine on June 21, 1949. She preceded him in death on March 14, 2012.
Chuck had worked as an Engineer, designing testing equipment and air curtains. He was responsible for setting up production factories for this equipment. After his retirement, he operated the Dairy Queen on Wilmington Rd. with his daughter for over thirty years. Chuck also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most of all, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Chuck leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughter Karen Ann Dostilio, grandchildren, Lorrie Gibson (Brian), Joseph Dostilio (Lena), and Charles Dostilio (Michele); and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Chuck was preceded in death by two brothers, Fredrick and John Freese; and two sisters, Dorothy Boron and Elizabeth Clifford.
In keeping with his wishes, a private service was held for the family at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home, 941 S. Mill St. officiated by Rev. Richard Nero. Interment is at St. Vitus Cemetery.
