Chad was born on December 12, 1942, in Bluffton, IN to Max I. and Martha A. (Sturgis) Guldin.
He worked for many years for Redman Homes in LaGrange County and continued to work for them when he moved to Arizona in 1983. He also worked for a few years for Circle K in Arizona. In 2017, he returned to LaGrange County. Chad played the piano in a few bands over the years and enjoyed doing puzzles.
On November 9, 1975, in LaGrange, IN he married Rose Vacek; she preceded him in death in 2001.
Also surviving is a son, Walter Guldin of Goodyear, AZ; a stepdaughter, Kathy Cruz of California; two brothers, Kay S. Guldin of LaGrange, IN and David E. (Ann) Guldin of Adrian, MI; a nephew, Jim (Mary) Guldin of Howe, IN; two great-nephews, Joshua (Jordan Witham) Guldin, and Jake Guldin; and a great-niece, Olivia Guldin.
He was preceded in death his parents; a brother, Kent L. Guldin; two stepsons, Robert Vacek and Rudy Vacek; and a daughter-in-law, Beth Guldin.
Private family services will take place.
Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Howe, IN.
