Charles "Chuck" Duane Hendrix, 71, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 10:47 am, Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on December 30, 1952, in Tacoma, Washington, to Silas Jr. and Jean (Brown) Hendrix.
Chuck was a 1971 graduate of Southwood High School. He married Kim Matthews at the Wabash Church of Christ on December 31, 1975. Chuck worked at Ford Meter Box 47 years retiring in 2019. He was a member of Bachelor Creek Church of Christ in Wabash, and was a former member of Hanna Masonic Lodge. Chuck loved to golf, travel to Florida and the beach (was a noodle floating extraordinaire), and spending time with his family especially his sons and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Hendrix of Wabash, two sons, Nick (Jeanette) Hendrix of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and T.J. (Tou) Hendrix of Westfield, Indiana, five grandchildren; Silas Hendrix and Nalani Hendrix both of Westfield, Anderson Hendrix, Poiema Hendrix, and Oliver Hendrix all of Fort Wayne, mother, Jean (Brown) Hendrix of Wabash, and brother, Bob (Angie) Hendrix of Warsaw, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call Sunday, June 30, 2024, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave, Wabash.
