Chick died September 10, 2024. He was born February 23, 1934 in Akron, OH, the son of Charles Sr. and Alice (Mealey) Kormanik. He completed his education at St. Sebastian, St. Vincent and the University of Akron. Graduating with honors from the Business College in 1956, he was commissioned an Artillery officer, retiring as a Captain. He was a proud member of Phi Delta Theta.
He worked at U.S. Stoneware (Norton Co.) for 9 years, beginning as a sales correspondent, becoming the National Sales Manager of the Plastic and Synthetics Division.
His last 28 years of work were spent as the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Warehouse Distributors, a purchasing cooperative for new car dealers in Northeast Ohio.
He enjoyed bicycling, jogging, swimming, skiing, and sailing Lake Erie, also volunteering at Support (suicide prevention) and the Naturealm.
Chick is survived by his wife; Lorry, sister; Ramona Botzum, brothers; Joe (Lidiya), Jim (Alice) Kormanik.
Preceded in death by brother Fred (Jane) Kormanik.
Cremation has taken place.
Inurnment will be at Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
