Charles Manley Obituary
Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late General and Dovie Rogers Manley.
Charles was the owner of the Country Garden Curb Market in Greenville for 26 years. He was a member of Westville Church of God of Prophecy where he was an usher and the "church comedian". Charles enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at Lake Greenwood. He loved to fish and taught all his kids and grandkids to love it as well. To know him was to love him!
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 59 years, are his children, Patty Manley Barnes (Rusty), Charles "Bubby" Manley, Jr., Rance Rogers (Angel), Roger Rogers, Lori Manley Wyatt; ten grandchildren, Chad Rainey (Melissa), Trisha Ann Rogers, Brad Kelley, Meghan Granger (Brian), Ty Barnes (Rebecca), Kayla Rogers (Elijah Howard), Brent Wyatt (Rebecca), Morgan Rogers, Jacob Rogers, and Blake Wyatt; and eight great-grandchildren, Tatum, Hayden, Norah, Jaxon, Caleb, Nolan, Levi and Lilly.
The Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 01, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest Chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery West.
The family would like to say a special thank you to all the staff on the 3rd floor Orthopedic Unit at St. Francis Eastside for their kindness & care provided to Charles during his extended stay. "Chuck" was definitely treated like a "VIP" & we will never forget the doctors, nurses, patient assistants, therapist & anyone else involved in his care. We will forever be grateful to you all.
