Charles "Chuck" Meeker

Charles "Chuck" Meeker, 60, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on May 1, 2023.
He was born May 17, 1962, in New Hartford, son of Anna (Wrobel) and Herbert L. Meeker Sr. He graduated from Utica Free Academy, MVCC and SUNY IT with a bachelor's degree in Medical Records Administration.
Chuck worked as a Manager/Pharmacy Technician at Garro's Pharmacy in Utica for many years. He was well known by many of the customers for his care and compassion. He always took time to answer their questions and assist them in any way.
Chuck enjoyed "rocking out" to 80s music and dancing. He was considered the life of the party. He affectionately called himself "The Godfather" and "The King", because of his love of Elvis Presley. He enjoyed fishing, playing hockey and softball in his younger years. He was well known as an Old School West Utica legend by many of his cherished friends.
Chuck is survived by his siblings, Cheryl Meeker of Utica, Carla Smith of Carthage, Charmain Meeker of Herkimer, Charlene (Kenny) Major and Tim (Christine) Meeker of Utica, and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews that he adored. He also leaves behind his special love Alice. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by his sisters Christine Molnar, Carol Biszick and his brother Herbert, Jr.
Calling hours are Wednesday, May 10, from 4-6 PM at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Road, New Hartford. A funeral service will follow at 6 PM. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
