Charles Raborn Obituary
A lifelong resident of Hamilton County, Mr. Raborn retired from Combustion Engineering after 30 years of service.
Mr. Raborn was a proud veteran of the US Navy, and was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church for many years where he enjoyed singing.
Mr. Raborn was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Ruth Raborn; sisters, Lorene Raborn Powell, Mickey Raborn Hullander, Charlotte Raborn Whittle; and brother, Samuel Raborn.
He is survived by two sons, Miles (Jamie) Raborn and Greg (Debbie) Raborn, all of Ooltewah; sister, Barbara (Cecil) Shadwick, Tunnel Hill, GA; 5 grandchildren, Casey (Sasha) Raborn, Ashley (Ryan) Jones, Travis (Amy) Scurlock, Tyler Raborn, and Cody (Kayla) Raborn; 8 great-grandchildren, Kaden Scurlock, Kamren Scurlock, Conner Raborn, Colton Raborn, Beau Raborn, Chase Raborn, Grayton Jones and Ryley Jones; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 20th at 1 pm at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East (Shallowford Road) with Rev. Tom Phillips officiating. Pallbearers will be Miles Raborn, Greg Raborn, Casey Raborn, Travis Scurlock, Cody Raborn, and Tyler Raborn.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Chattanooga Kidney Center of Ooltewah-Collegedale their love and care.
