Charles "Charlie" Raedy Jr. Obituary
Charles A. Raedy Jr. (Charlie), a man of kindness and skill, passed away on October 7, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service. Charles, often referred to by those who knew him best as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, was a beacon of light and warmth in the lives of many.
Born to the late Charles A. Raedy and his cherished wife Anna, Charlie grew up in Roxbury. His journey through life was one marked by devotion to his family, which included his late wife, Natalie T. (Lembo) Raedy, who was his partner in life and love. Together, they raised a family that was the center of Charlie's world: Debbie Brown and her husband Mark of Hobe Sound Florida, Susan Preston of Myrtle Beach South Carolina, Cindy Bursey of Holbrook, John Bursey of Quincy and Richard Bursey of Arlington. He was a grandfather to Paul Kilroy, Kate and Matt Preston, and a proud great-grandfather to two great-grandchildren.
Charlie's professional life was as rich and fulfilling as his personal one. He began his career at RCA, then moved on to General Electric, where he honed his skills in electronics. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Spotlite TV Repair, his own business, which he managed with the same integrity and commitment he applied to every aspect of his life. Charlie's work was not just a means to an end but a passion that he pursued with excellence and pride.
Outside of work, Charlie was an individual of diverse interests and talents. He loved tinkering on his computer, a hobby that brought him great joy and satisfaction. He was also the quintessential handyman, always eager to work around the house and lend his skills to odd jobs for friends and neighbors. His love for his family was paralleled only by his love for sports, as an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Charlie's love for animals was shown with 3 of his fury four legged friends Rusty, Smokey and Tasha which he adored.
The words that best describe Charlie are loving, handy, and kind. He approached life with a gentle demeanor and a generous spirit, always ready to help others and spread kindness wherever he went. His presence was a comfort, his laughter a joy, and his guidance a steady hand for those who looked up to him.
Charlie's life was a testament to the power of love and the impact one person can have on the world around them. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him, but his legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of his beloved family and the countless lives he touched. Charlie's journey through life was a story of unwavering love, and it is with that same love that we bid him farewell.
A service will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas 326 Granite Ave Milton on Thursday October 16th at 11:00am. Burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery

My heartfelt condolences to the family. It was a pleasure and honor to have known Charlie ( as he asked us to call him). He was a good conversationalist and always had a funny story to tell. Go now on the wings of the dove to your eternal resting place.
