Charles Russell Shadow, III, 74, of Downingtown, PA, passed away September 10, 2024.
Born January 3, 1950 in Harrisburg, PA, he was a son of the late Charles Russell, II, and Elizabeth Jane (nee Harvey) Shadow.
Charlie was a 1968 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. Charlie then served in the Air Force and Air Force Reserves from 1968 to 1987. While in the Air Force Charlie served 3 tours in Vietnam. While in the reserve Charlie earned a degree in criminal justice from The University of Pittsburgh in 1980. Charlie worked as a parole officer and in sales throughout his career.
Charlie played as much golf as he could. Charlie loved all sports and was a passionate LA Lakers, Atlanta Braves, Penn State, and Eagles fan. Charlie was a very involved Grandpa.
Charles was the loving father of Daniel Shadow (Laura); and adoring grandfather of Benjamin, Jack, and Joseph.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Fund.
