Charlie W. Sieloff, age 77, passed away on November 5, 2024, in Naperville, IL. Born on August 6, 1947, Charlie dedicated 32 years of his life to teaching in Carol Stream school District 93, shaping the minds and futures of countless students.
Charlie graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater, where he played on the 1966 NAIA Championship team as a defensive tackle. His enthusiasm for sports continued throughout his life, as he enjoyed volleyball in the last several decades. An avid player, he and Linda even hosted water volleyball games every Sunday during the summer at their home, bringing joy and laughter to all who participated. Charlie cherished the outdoors, whether tending to the beautiful backyard vegetable and flower gardens with Linda; or building ziplines and constructing climbing walls for his grandchildren. He was also a certificated private pilot, accomplished marksman and was a World War II enthusiast.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda (nee Gorczyca); sister Pat Tiberi and her husband Charles; daughter Amy Lynn Kuhl, her husband Christopher and their daughter Ava; sons Timothy Genc with his wife Catey and their children Joshua, Peighton and Hannah; Scott Genc with his wife Stephanie and their children Ashley and Sydney, and CJ Sieloff. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Betty.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, 2:00-4:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill Street, Naperville, IL 60540.
