Mr. Charles David Spenner, Sr. of Centralia, IL, departed this life at the Fireside House of Centralia in Centralia, IL on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 7:30 A.M. He had attained the age of 74 years, 8 months and 22 days.
Mr. Spenner was born on October 16, 1950, in Centralia, IL the son of David W. and Olga Fern (Walker) Spenner. He was united in marriage to Pam Burk and they later divorced. Together they had one son, Charles David Jr.
Charles worked for numerous businesses in the maintenance department as a repair technician. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton, IL.
Left to mourn his passing is his son, Charles David Spenner, Jr.; grandson, Charlie; special friend, Anita Crane and her daughters, Felicia Maze and Renee Grimes; brother, William (Donna) Spenner of Nashville, IL; ; 2 sisters, Barbara Lueking of Hoffman, IL and Joyce Frieman and her husband Dennis of Nashville, IL; sister-in-law, Nadine Spenner; 10 nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Wesley; brother, David Spenner; 2 sisters, Betty (Vernon) Lippert and Peggy Reinkensmeier; brother-in-law, Fred Lueking and 1 nephew and 4 nieces.
Per the wishes of Charles and his family, cremation will be performed, and a memorial service will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton, IL on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 11 A.M. with Reverend Nathan Wollenberg officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to go directly to the church. There will be no visitation hours.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church of Hoyleton and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
