Charles Earl Stewart "Big Chuck", 83 of Akron passed away March 22, 2022. He was born December 27, 1938 in Streetsboro, Ohio on the family farm.
Travel, food, fun and family were the things that brought joy to his life. He was a member of Brown St. Church of Christ, the Eagles and Orioles Clubs. He attended the University of South Sewanee for a while before returning home where he pursued a career in the beauty business. He owned and ran several salons in his days and had a huge following, all were family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Lida (nee Straight) Stewart; brothers, Elmer, Virgil and Dick; sisters, Marjorie Spinelli ad Charlene Defer. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty four years, Darlene; son, Michael Stewart of Akron; daughter, Julie (Allen) Jackson of Charleston, SC.; grandchildren, Allie (Pete) Scull of Charleston, SC and Adam (Raven) Jackson of Radcliff, KY; four great grandchildren, Maverick Jackson, Joseph and Genevieve Bube and Jackie Scull. He is also survived by his life long best friend Ray "Uncle Woody" Woods.
Cremation has taken place and a Gathering of Remembrance will be held at a future date.
