Charles "Charlie" Uhls

Charles "Charlie" D. Uhls, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, passed away on October 12, 2025, in St. George, Utah, while doing what he loved most-playing golf. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on May 30, 1967, Charlie lived a life full of laughter, connection, and heart.

Charlie was the definition of charisma and kindness - humble yet larger than life. He never met a stranger and had a rare gift for making everyone around him feel like family. Whether he was coaching, leading, or simply sharing a laugh, Charlie's energy lit up every room he entered.

A proud graduate of Howe High School's Class of 1985, Charlie's passion for golf started early. He was part of the team that won the state championship in high school, later took home the Mayor's Cup in Indianapolis, and even competed in the Missouri Amateur Golf Tournament. His love of the game followed him through every chapter of life.

Professionally, Charlie was simply the best in the business. From his early days at John Caster Ford to his time with HMH Autosport and eventually Cable Dahmer Kia, he built lasting relationships with customers and colleagues alike. His honesty, humor, and genuine care made him a legend on the showroom floor - and beyond.

Charlie is preceded in death by his father-in-law, John Johnson: his paternal grandparents, Jackson and Vergie Uhls; his maternal grandparents, Frank "Jr." and Delma Toler; and sister, Melissa Rhea.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Christi Uhls; his sons: Trevor and Dillon Uhls; his parents, Jackie B. and Marilyn Sue Uhls; his siblings: Dana (Chris) Arcuri, Debbie Clinard, Pam "Diane" Vaughn, and Jackie Cassity; and his in-laws, Karen (Tom) Lowe, Randy (Paula) Johnson, and Stephanie Lowe. He also leaves behind countless nieces, nephews, and great-nieces/nephews who adored their Uncle Charlie.

To know Charlie was to love him. He was a devoted husband, proud dad, loyal brother, cherished son, and a true friend to so many. He was also an avid golfer, die-hard Chiefs and Mizzou fan, a ChapStick connoisseur, and a man who could often be found in his favorite old baggy t-shirt with a smile that said it all.

Charlie's life was a celebration of joy, connection, and authenticity. His laughter, his stories, and his love will live on in every person lucky enough to have shared this life with him.

To honor Charlie's life, a celebration of life will be held at Shamrock Hills Golf Course (3161 South 291 Hwy, Lee's Summit, MO 64082) on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Food and Charlie's favorite cocktail will be provided.
