Charles Wesley Wiegand (August 28, 1965 to September 10, 2024)
Charlie was a life-long resident of the Northwoods. After high school he joined the Marines where he served honorably attaining the rank of Lance Corporal and earning his certification as a sharp-shooter. He then married the love of his life Tammy Schroeder and returned home to raise a family. He subsequently worked as a logger and most recently as a manager of the H.E. Querry Cranberry Marsh on Stone Lake in the Three Lakes area.
When he wasn't working hard, he loved to spend time in the woods hunting and fishing, playing music, reading, and riding his Harley. He spent many happy hours in the boat or on his Harley with his kids. As grandchildren came along, he shared these loves with them as well as often gifting beloved books and sharing his knowledge of fishing.
He will be fondly remembered by his many good friends, especially Ken Peroutka and Tim Goldsworthy. He could be found at the center of any good time. He loved to joke and play music and spent many hours entertaining family and friends by sharing his gifts. He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles ("Chick") Wiegand and Eleanor Wiegand – nee Queen, as well as both maternal and paternal grandparents.
He leaves behind his sisters: Tina Reiss (Mark), Lisa Frizzell (Jason), and Dometa Brothers (Michael). His children: Clayton James, Charlye Jo-Lynn, and Carter Monroe. His grandchildren: Devaunte, Odin, Cody, Cadin, Charles, Elsie, Blake and Watson. Nieces and nephews: Joshua, Jennifer, Jacob, Caitlin, Lindsay, Rebecca, Olivia and Camille.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024, from 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. at Weber-Hill & Packard Funeral Home in Crandon. Services will commence at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Don Dewing will preside. Burial will follow at the Town of Crandon Cemetery where Veteran services will be conducted.

Charlie was such a character, always made me laugh. Smerky grin, soft spoken, and always helpful. I loved to listen to him plunging around and play the guitar.
