In Loving Memory Of Charlie Sylvester Poole, age 75, of Paris, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. He was born on March 23, 1950, in Logan County to Charlie and Geneva Poole and remained a lifelong resident of the area.
Charlie was a man of deep faith who loved the Lord and was devoted to his church, Poole Temple in Gray Rock, Arkansas. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life-especially camping and fishing. Known for his kind and giving nature, Charlie was always willing to help anyone in need. He was also lovingly described as "ornery to the core," bringing laughter and warmth to those around him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tonia Poole of the home; his son, Danny Ray Poole of Russellville, Arkansas; his sisters, Carolyn Brown and husband Clifford of Grandview, Missouri, Melvine Powell and Clarice Poole, both of Plano, Texas; and a special niece, Gwendolyn Bates of Kansas City, Missouri. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Geneva Poole; his brother, Zeno Powell; and his sister, Clara Elingburg. Charlie will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
