Mr. Charlie Simpson age 73 passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at the Harlan ARH Hospital. He was born February 23, 1950 in Leslie County, Kentucky the son of the late, Joe Simpson & Hannah Brock Simpson. Charlie was a life long resident of Leslie County. By occupation he was a retired logger. Charlie enjoyed hunting, dog trading, watching wrestling & most of all spending time with his family especially his grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Charlie was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Joe & Hannah Brock Simpson. He leaves the following relatives surviving; his loving & devoted wife, Hattie Faye Whitehead Simpson, Mozelle, KY, one cherished son, Jimmy Dean Simpson, Mozelle, KY, two cherished daughters, Tina & Ralph Brock, Roark, KY and Mary Ann Bowling & David, Hyden, KY, three brothers, Jimmy Simpson & Vicky Collett, Warbranch, KY, Glenn Simpson & Goldie, Warbranch, KY. and Corb Simpson & Vickie, Warbranch, KY, seven treasured grandchildren, Kimberly Simpson, Josh & Xena Simpson, Samantha & Jessie Brock, Hannah & Travis Sizemore, George & Becky Simpson, Samantha & John North and Thomas & Kearstyn Caldwell & 12 treasured great grandchildren. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.
Funeral: Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the New Hope Community Church, Warbranch, KY.
Ministers: Rev. Denver Brock & Rev. Eugene "Friday" Roberts
Interment: Brock Family Cemetery, (Marrowbone), Warbranch, KY.
Pallbearers: Jimmy Dean Simpson, George Simpson, Josh Simpson, Jessie Brock, Travis Sizemore & David Bowling
Visitation: Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 5:00 P.M. at the Church
