Charlotte. Dianna Gardenhire – Gould. 1/30/1951 -5/22/25
Charlotte was born January 30, 1951 to Reverend Charles and Richadean Gardenhire. Charlotte ascended into heaven on May 22,2025.
She attended Forest Grove,Lake,Consolidated and Delsea Regional High Schools. She took courses at Cumberland University and at Lebanon University Tennessee and later graduated from Rowan University.
She worked as a teacher at the Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Bridgeton, Public Charter Schools in Vineland, and Millville and Bridgeton Public Charter Schools. Charlotte had also been a substitute teacher at Petra Christian School and Bridgeton Public Schools.
Charlotte worked extensively with the drama programs that were held at her church and schools, she also directed and sang in various choirs. She loved traveling and her most memorable excursions were visiting Russia, Haiti, Hawaii, North Dakota,South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Texas, Virginia, North Carolina, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, and Maine. She loved oil painting, watching old movies and listening to music.
For 40 years Charlotte was a devoted wife to the late Elmer F. Gould Brandi and a devoted mother to Pete Gould, Jr., Didi Gould -Watkins, Nichelle Gould and Jonique Gould.
Charlotte's was deeply committed to her faith. Her early Christian experience started at Allen A.M.E.Church and later she attended John Wesley,Vineland Church of Christ, Bridgeton Assembly of God, and finally Heavens Saints Worship Center. In July 2016,Charlotte was ordained and licensed as an Elder of Lions of Judah Worship Center. She participated in many churches as the Drama Director, Worship Leader, an Associate Pastor at Heavens Saints Worship Center, she served the Lord as a faithful servant of God at each of these churches.
In addition for her love of teaching children, she mentored many and her special family was mentored from teenagers to adults were: Michael, Ozzie, Junior, Ty, Gloria, Angela and her sister friend was Mary Anne all of which are successful in their various fields.
Charlotte is survived by her sister, Minister Vanessa Phillips. She is preceded in death by; her parents, Reverend Charles and Richadean Gardenhire; brothers Charles Jr. (Barbara), Richard, Joseph and one sister Jacqueline. Two sister-in-laws Elinora and Marilynn; and Kevin Gould and Nisha Gould. Charlotte had 23 grandchildren, 40 great great grandchildren and a combined village of in-laws, cousins, and close friends, from school and church.
Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 11 AM at Cumberland County Christian Church (formerly Vineland Church of Christ), 3141 Dante Avenue, Vineland, NJ New Jersey. Friends will be received at the church from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
