Charlotte Marie Hembree

Charlotte "Marie" Church Hembree, age 84 of Newport, passed away on September 24, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband Chandler Hembree, her son Jimmy Dean Hembree, her mother Charlotte Cashen Church Ledford, her father Warren Harden Church, her brothers Wayne, Tommy, Joe Michael Roger, Ricky and James Darrell Church. She is survived by her daughter Janet Whitlock; sons Bobby Hembree and Chandler D. Hembree (Samantha Holt); sisters Linda (Alfred) Holt, Mary Sharon Ledford and Kathy Church; brothers Eugene Church, Lanny Church, Curtis (Dottie) Ledford, Eddie Ledford, George Harold (Mary) Ledford, and Gerald Church; grandchildren Desirea Whitlock (Larry Phillips), Melissa Hembree Lane, Misty Whitlock, Travis Hembree (Bailey Davis), Cody (Carlee) Hembree, Deanna (Justin) Shelton; great grandchildren Skylar Lane (Nick Blizzard), Tyler Lane (Cheyenne Chambers), Chandler Gregg, Jamie Hembree, Raylee Hembree and Avery Hembree; great-great grandchildren Aspen Blizzard, Arizona Blizzard, Braylee Lane.Marie was known for her warm smile, kind words and strong faith in the Lord. She was a pillar of strength and a guiding light for her family, teaching us the importance of faith, forgiveness, and grace. She leaves behind a legacy of love and faith in her family who will carry her lessons in their hearts forever. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in knowing she has entered into the presence of the Lord she so faithfully served. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Centerview Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Bryan, Rev. David Hall, and Rev. Clint Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m., Friday, September 26, 2025 at Manes Funeral Home.
