Charlotte J. Klein Dana
Charlotte J. (Klein) Dana, age 72, of Wesleyville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, after a brave battle with various health issues. She was born in Erie on April 10, 1952, to the late Robert W. Klein Sr. and Josephine (Sowizral) Klein. Charlotte was a lifelong resident of Erie and graduated from Iroquois High School in the class of 1970.
She is survived by her loving husband and high school sweetheart of 52 years, Christopher R. Dana; her son, Craig Dana of Erie; her daughter and son-in-law, Carinne and Nicholas Vitelli; her three granddaughters, Lena, Olivia, and Gabrielle Vitelli; and one great-grandson, Roman. Charlotte was also cherished by her loving grand-dog, Casey. She is further survived by her brother, Robert Klein, and his wife, Anita (Bucheral) Klein, of Erie; and her sister, Kathleen (Klein) VanSlyke, and her husband, Gary, of South Carolina. Charlotte also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
After graduation, she worked at General Electric, starting in the steno pool before moving into a secretary position. After six years, she left her career to become a devoted mother and homemaker. In 1983, she dedicated her life as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and spent many years in full-time ministry, sharing good news with her neighbors and community. She especially loved sharing her favorite scripture from the Bible found at Revelation 21:3 and 4 which reads "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
Charlotte had a passion for baking and cherished spending time with her family, especially with her granddaughters, whom she dearly loved. She was also a skilled dressmaker, having made her own wedding dress, as well as dresses for her daughter and granddaughters and suits for her son. In addition, Charlotte was a talented artist, painting custom murals for friends and family. She was also proud to have designed the original mascot for Iroquois High School while she was a student. She was active in her community volunteering for the Iroquois School District working in the cafeteria when needed.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 9335 W Main St, North East, PA 16428, on Sunday, March 23rd, at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the worldwide work may be made at donate.jw.org. Arrangements were handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.

Was so very sorry to hear of my friend, Char, as we called her pass away...
We met at General Electric, when I first started, in fact I took her job as she moved to a new one, since then we became friends, every summer when I came to Erie, we would meet for lunch with our other GE friends. She was a wonderful person that will be missed.
My deepest condolences to Chris and family....
