Charlotte "Sue" McManus, 69, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.
She was born in York County, SC on March 22, 1956, to the late John Curtis Soles and Margaret Williamson Parker.
Sue loved the Lord, her family, and her grandkids. She enjoyed cleaning, raising children, and watching the Hallmark Channel. Sue worked in textiles for several years, then worked as a CNA for several nursing homes.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Michael Vaughn McManus; daughter, Christina Ann McManus; son, Jason Lee McManus; sisters, Willa Calhoun, Cynthia Parrish; brother, John Leonard Soles; fur baby, Buddy Eugene Robinson.
Sue is survived by her son, Michael Eugene McManus (Teresa); daughter, Jeanie Robinson (Dustin); brother, Buddy McManus (Kim); sisters, Kathy Carlisle, Rita Melpass, Beverly Beard, Jeannie Lawson; grandchildren, Ryan McManus, Matthew McManus, Holli McManus, Elysiana and Alyriana; fur babies, Luna Mae Bell Robinson, Roscoe P. Coletrain Robinson; special friend, Connie Hoffman; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service officiated by Pastor Dennis Boyce, will be held Friday, April 18, 2025, 2:00 PM, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia, NC 28052. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
