Charlotte Eugenia Lentz Morrow, 88, life-long resident of Columbia, TN passed away peacefully Saturday, December 14, 2024, at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 30, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Randy Baxter officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral service on Monday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home.
Born November 30, 1936, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Edward Alexander Lentz and the late Eunice Rogers Lentz Dickson. She was a 1954 graduate of Columbia Central High School, and a member of the West 7th Street Church of Christ in Columbia. Mrs. Morrow was married to the late Edde Morrow for 33 years, and together they shared a wonderful life together with their one daughter, Lee Anna. Grandchildren became the highlight of their lives and is when Charlotte affectionately became known as “Mona.”
Charlotte had an abundance of love for her family including her family of horses. She was a true cowgirl. She loved spending time on her farm in the Hampshire Community, and enjoyed riding and showing horses with her daughter, family, and friends. One of Charlotte’s favorite past times was attending horse shows, The Walking Horse Celebration being her favorite. She attended every year until her vision began to fail her. She was a former commissioner of the TN Racking Horse Association. She was a talented artist, and enjoyed painting and playing the guitar and piano. In recent years she loved going out to dance with friends.
She is survived by one daughter, Lee Anna LeMaster (Mike) Snodgrass of Hohenwald; two grandchildren, Justin (Ginger) Morrow of Columbia and Ashley Anderson Canty of Hohenwald; several great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Lentz Whiteside of Hampshire; several nieces and nephews including two special nieces, Melinda Whiteside Guettner and Scarlett (Todd) Gilliam both of Hampshire.
Charlotte was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Lentz: brothers-in-law, Mack Whiteside and Donald Morrow.
Active pallbearers will be Colton Morrow, Jalen Milton, Jackson Serrano, Christian Morrow, Samuel Guettner, and Todd Gilliam.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to Caris Hospice, and to her caregivers, Shandi Akins, Cindy Himes, and Taylor Price for the love and care shown to her during her illness.
