Our sweet mother, grandma, and great-grandma left this life on April 4th, 2025, in the comfort of her home in Salt Lake City, surrounded by loved ones. Nothing could be more appropriate, because she was the magic that made this humble house a home-a home that was a special place, filled with unconditional love, warmth, and kindness, where her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews loved to gather over those magical years. It was always a little piece of heaven on earth.
Charlotte Ann Wickham was born in St. Anthony, Idaho, on August 26, 1929, to Earl Montel and Charlotte Cazier Wickham. She always spoke fondly of the wonderful childhood years in St. Anthony that she shared with her older brothers, Boyd, Earl, and Ben. She graduated from St. Anthony High School and then attended BYU, majoring in secretarial studies. She married her high school sweetheart, Jack Swensen, in the Salt Lake Temple. They moved to Salt Lake City, where he attended the University of Utah. They were blessed with four children.
When her children grew older, she began working at the Salt Lake Clinic as the manager of the stenography department, and stayed there for 30 years. She was well-respected by all the doctors and staff. She also enjoyed her many callings in church service.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her father, mother, and her brothers and a great grandson. She leaves behind her loving children and their spouses, Christine (Andrew Peterson, deceased, Cathryn (Jerry Rose), Julie (Kent Sorensen, deceased), Jack (Laurie), 18 grandchildren, and 62 great-grandchildren.
A funeral just for family will be April 14th. She will be interred at Larkin Sunset Lawn Memorial.
