Chelsea Rae Peel

Chelsea Rae Peel was born April 19, 1990 in Midlothian, Texas. She went to her heavenly place on August 23rd, 2022. She passed peacefully in Fort Worth, Texas while surrounded by family after battling stage IV lung cancer for nearly 3 years.
Chelsea was a beloved daughter, sister, girlfriend and friend. She was an adventurous and fiercely independent soul who loved her family and friends with her whole heart. Chelsea loved music, sports (especially Texas Tech sports), sunrises and kayaking. She was strong, smart, courageous and passionate. She never let cancer define her.
Her parents, Jack and Guylyn, describe Chelsea as their surprise child. Her mother learned she was having Chelsea, 39 minutes after her twin sister Corley was born. Chelsea was known for her dry wit, quirkiness and could make anyone laugh.
Chelsea graduated from Midlothian High School in 2008 where she played on the varsity softball team. She spent her freshman year of college playing softball on a scholarship at Western Texas College. Sophomore year, she transferred to Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas where she earned her bachelor s degree in advertising.
Chelsea is infamously known for her marketing career as a brand ambassador for Whataburger. She loved living in Fort Worth in her apartment affectionately known as her blue barn. Chelsea is survived by her parents, Guylyn and Jack Peel, her twin sister Corley Peel, half siblings Dana Gill, Amy Fryar and Edward Peel, and her boyfriend, Dustin Clarke.
She is preceded by her grandparents, Nancy and George Richards, her Memaw, Marcedis Wigley.
