Cheryl Arrowood Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home - Florence on Jun. 24, 2025.
Cheryl Lynn Martin Arrowood, 68, of Fort Mitchell, KY, passed away on June 14, 2025.
Born on August 10, 1956 in Covington, KY she was the daughter of the late Edward Martin and Mary Louise Murphy Martin.
Raised in Newport, Cheryl attended Newport High School. She relished watching reality TV shows and enjoyed playing games on the computer. A homemaker, Cheryl was married to Clyde Arrowood for many years until his passing in 2015. Clyde worked 3rd shift. Cheryl's schedule mirrored his and she would stay up until he came home in the morning. Often, they would go out for breakfast at Bob Evans, IHOP or Chuy's. She was most comfortable at the home she and Clyde made in Fort Mitchell. Cheryl's heart expanded when she became a grandmother. She cherished spending quality time with her grandkids. Most of the time, she was strong-willed and stubborn. But although she perpetually maintained a tough exterior, Cheryl was extremely loving on the inside. She will be greatly missed.
Cheryl was the beloved mom of twin sons Clyde "Eddie" Arrowood (Ericka) and John "Chuck" Arrowood; sister to Danny Martin (Marlene); sister-in-law to Ron Walton; and treasured Nana to Kyndhal Arrowood, Kennedie "Pete" Arrowood, Liam Arrowood and a bonus grandmother to Tanner Schierberg and Kadance Talbot. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Ann Walton, brothers Edward "Buddy" Martin (Cindy), Mike Martin, and Harry Martin; as well as her adored dog Crash. Additionally, Cheryl was also predeceased by the love of her life and husband Clyde Arrowood.
A celebration of life will occur on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Hwy, Florence, KY, 41042. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
Cheryl will be laid to rest at Independence Cemetery, 5358 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051 in a private family ceremony.
