Cheryl C. Culberson, born on August 30, 1965, in Meridian, MS, was a beacon of love and optimism who departed this life on July 1, 2024, in Gulfport, MS. Cheryl found joy in simple pleasures. A trip to the beach, assembling a puzzle, or a quiet evening surrounded by her beloved family were moments she treasured above all. Each memory forged in these times became a thread in the fabric of her family's history. A proud graduate of Meridian High School, Cheryl went on to refine her passion for supporting others by earning her Associate's Degree in Social Work from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. For over two decades, she dedicated her professional life to social work, advocating tirelessly for those in need. Her natural empathy and boundless thoughtfulness made her an invaluable member of the community. Cheryl was the epitome of a family-oriented person, as the matriarch of the family she will be dearly missed. She is preceded by father Harold Clark; her son Christopher Culberson; her lifelong friend Laura Malley. She is survived by her mother Beth Clark; her siblings Wayne Dowdle, Amy and Chuck Norman, Debbie Barnes, Steve Clark, and Leslie Clark; her children, Amber and Jeffrey Brune, Vanessa and Jason Pittman, and Amanda Culberson; along with her treasured grandchildren, Austin & Savanna Schorghofer, Bryson Tucker, Kaleb & Makaylee Brune, Blake, Damien & Ryleigh Triplett, Brennan Johnson, Chase, Ashton & Ty Pittman; Described by many as loving, optimistic, and exceptionally thoughtful, Cheryl's influence extends far beyond her immediate family to a host of nieces, nephews, and the countless lives she touched. The memories of her loving spirit and invaluable contributions to her family and community will continue to inspire and comfort those she leaves behind. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Culberson family in their time of need and we ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
