Cheryl Lynn Cumberland, 53, wife of Scott Cumberland, passed away at her home in Wilmington, Ohio, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Cheryl was born to Ron and Wilma Foster in Georgetown, Kentucky, on September 26, 1972. Cheryl was a strong and loving mother, grandmother, and wife. Cheryl came to know Jesus through her journey with cancer. Most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them, and she adored watching her son, Jarron, play basketball, being his biggest fan.
Besides her husband and parents, she will be lovingly remembered by her son, Jarron Scott Cumberland of Wilmington, OH, her two daughters, Ebony Lynn Foster of Wilmington, OH, and Chasity Marie (Donell) Dillion of Columbus, OH, her brother, Ronnie Earl Foster, her sister Ronda Foster of Georgetown, five grandchildren, Jayceon, Jayona, Micah, Camille and Kanan, her special nephew, Jeremy Cumberland, her uncle, Jim Hubbard, and a very special friend, Kelly Underwood.
Cheryl was preceded in her passing by her grandparents, Earl and Helen Hubbard, her mother and father-in-law, Winnie and John Cumberland, and her uncle. Earl Hubbard Jr.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on June 12, 2025, at 1:00 PM with Chad Lindon officiating. The burial will follow at Georgetown Cemetery, where Tyrand Cumberland, Jeremy Cumberland, Jarron Cumberland, Brandon Hubbard, Ronnie Lee Hubbard, and Charlie Foster will serve as pallbearers.
